IQ-EQ has announced the appointment of Nicola Gott as Managing Director of its Jersey business.

Nicola (pictured) has more than 25 years’ of experience including 13 years based in the Channel Islands.

Nicola’s early experience focused on risk management and she spent almost a decade building her career with Halifax in the UK, culminating in the position of Head of Group Risk Credit for International Assets. She moved to Jersey in 2009 to join BNP Paribas Securities Services, initially as Head of Risk & Permanent Controls, which saw her manage an extensive risk migration following the firm’s acquisition of the former RBSi securities services business (£35 billion custody, £6.4 billion AUA) in 2007. Following this project, she was promoted to BNP Paribas Country Chief Operating Officer, a key Channel Islands position, which she held for over five years.

More recently, Nicola has held the position of Managing Director with a number of trust, fund and corporate administration providers, where she led diverse operational change programmes that improved internal processes and delivered commercial growth. Prior to joining IQ-EQ, she was MD of Oak Group.

Commenting on her new role with IQ-EQ, Nicola said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the IQ-EQ Jersey team. Many colleagues’ names are already known to me in our small island and I’m looking forward to working with each and every one of them. To be appointed as MD of IQ-EQ’s well-established and growing Jersey business is a great honour.

“I am genuinely excited about what we are going to achieve together, supporting each other with innovative and people-led solutions for local and group-wide colleagues, our clients and wider stakeholder group.”

John Legrand, IQ-EQ’s Regional CEO for the UK, Ireland and Crown Dependencies, commented: “It is with great pleasure that I welcome Nicola to IQ-EQ and specifically to our Jersey team, which represents our third largest office globally in terms of both people and revenue. Nicola’s robust operational and risk management experience, her commercial acumen paired with her people-focused leadership style, make her a perfect fit for our business and I very much look forward to working with her.

“I am confident she will play an important role for the regional cluster as a whole, working collaboratively with the wider leadership team while continuing to grow and evolve IQ-EQ Jersey in line with its expanding global client base.”
