Stephen Coelho, a Client Advisor at UBS Global Wealth Management in Jersey, has been named a ‘Rising star in banking’ in the 2022 Jersey Finance Rising Star Awards.
The awards, now in their third year, are designed to recognise future leaders across the financial services industry by celebrating young talent in Jersey.
This award adds to Stephen’s list of achievements in the last 12 months, starting with a job promotion in September 2021 to his current role as Client Advisor, closely followed by the announcement in January 2022 that Stephen ranked first in the country for students taking the Chartered Institute of Investment and Securities (CISI), Private Client Investment Advice & Management (PCIAM) exam in 2021.
“We are delighted that Stephen has won this award,” said Michael Clarke, Head of Private Clients at UBS Global Wealth Management in Jersey. “Stephen is an important member of our team and has achieved a lot in the early stages of his career. Jersey is an important market for us at UBS and I am looking forward to seeing what else Stephen will achieve and how our clients will benefit from his expertise.”

Over 150 young professionals were nominated for the 2022 Jersey Finance Rising Star Awards, of which 42 were shortlisted by the panel of independent judges. Over 50,000 votes were cast by members of the public to determine the winners – an increase of almost a third on last year’s total number of votes.
