Carey Olsen associate Caitlin Connor has been named the ‘Rising star in law’ at the Jersey Finance Rising Star awards.
The awards, now in their third year, are designed to recognise future leaders and celebrate the achievements of talented, young individuals from across Jersey’s financial services industry. This year’s ceremony was held at the Royal Jersey Showground and saw winners named across 14 categories.
More than 150 young professionals were nominated for the awards, of which 42 were shortlisted by the panel of independent judges. The public were then invited to vote for nominees with Jersey Finance receiving over 50,000 votes from the public.
Caitlin, a member of Carey Olsen’s dispute resolution and litigation practice, has been with the firm since 2019 and advises on a wide range of civil and commercial disputes, including company disputes; contractual disputes; shareholder, investor and funds disputes; contentious trust issues and debt-recovery and insolvency matters.
Caitlin said: “I am thrilled to have won the Rising Star in Law Award. I relocated to Jersey when I joined Carey Olsen and I am so pleased to have been recognised for my work on the island so far and to be named a future leader within the legal community. I am supported by a fantastic team at Carey Olsen and many colleagues have contributed to this win.”
Jersey partner Marcus Pallot commented: “In her three years at the firm Caitlin has asserted herself as an integral member of the dispute resolution team and [is] an asset to the firm and her clients. She is a joy to work with, meticulous, driven and absolutely deserving of this recognition. We are very proud of her latest achievement as a Jersey Finance Rising Star and look forward to supporting her as her career on the island advances. Congratulations, Caitlin.”
