The Prince’s Trust, working in partnership with PwC and the involvement of Jersey Dairy and the Royal Jersey Horticultural and Agricultural Society, is running a programme providing an opportunity to get involved in Digital Drama.

The programme is aimed at Islanders, aged 16 to 25, who are not in employment, education, or training. It is designed to help them learn new skills from editing to acting.

The programme offered will run on the 1st, 2nd and 5th to 7th September. It is being delivered by the Daisy Clarke. and Joe Hughes from the Take One Academy who have previously delivered the course in Jersey. Take One is a London based school specialising in film and TV courses covering acting and production. No previous experience or qualification is needed to take part in the course.

Both Daisy and Joe attended a previous programme and have said how much they are looking forward to returning to the island.

Joe said “Working with people in Jersey was one of the highlights of my year. I hope to make this years’ course as special as the last.”

Daisy said “I am so incredibly excited to be heading back to the beautiful island of Jersey and to run this course with the rest of the team”

Narelle Height, Senior Education Manager at PwC said: “The Digital Drama program was a great success last year and had a positive impact on all young people involved. It was great to see the participants find ways to contribute to the excellent final adverts. PwC are looking forward to another successful week in September, making a difference to young people locally.”

Jo Dove, Youth Worker at the Prince’s Trust said “The Prince’s Trust recognises that some young people lack confidence and skills. That’s why we offer a supportive and informal learning environment that can help build confidence so young people can access more opportunities.”
