Boatworks has reorganised its management team’s responsibilities as it continues to implement its development strategy following Peter Tom’s acquisition of the business in June 2021.
The Company’s General Manager, Stuart Tucker, has been appointed Managing Director. His new role adds responsibility for the Company’s external engagement, particularly with local government and business groups focused on the quayside’s regeneration and growing the local maritime economy.
Dale Acton has been appointed Executive Director, supporting Stuart on day-to-day operations to ensure customers receive a high-quality service and technical excellence.
Both have invaluable, professional and voluntary maritime experience, enabling them to bring the best of Boatworks to every customer and vessel they serve.
Commenting on the appointments, Chairman, Peter Tom CBE said: “Having stabilised the business and implemented a programme of new investment, I’m delighted that Stuart and Dale will lead us into our next phase of development. Both have extensive knowledge and a passion for Guernsey’s marine community, making them the perfect choice to drive the continued growth of the business.
“They will play an important role in ensuring St. Peter Port is synonymous with innovative, excellent maritime services.”
