Christina Liciaga, HSBC’s Head of Customer and Products in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man, is one of only two people in the UK to have been featured on the HERoes Ethnically Diverse Women Role Models list.

The List, which was created by INvolve and is supported by HSBC, spotlights twenty exceptional ethnically diverse women leaders in business from across multiple industries and sectors from around the world who are driving the charge for global inclusion and making an impact within their own organization and industry.

Christina (pictured) has previously been recognised for her work in championing diversity by the EMpower Top 10 UK Black Role Models List, and the EMpower Ethnic Minority Role Model List, both of which highlight outstanding leaders breaking down barriers in the workplace. This latest success reflects the considerable work she does both inside and outside of HSBC to advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Commenting on her recognition within the list, Christina said: “I think it’s really important that we are building purposeful spaces and places for executives that represent the society we live in and can be the voice in the room and at the table for what has historically been at worst – unrecognised – and at best – underrepresented.”

Founder and CEO of INvolve, Suki Sandhu OBE, said: “I am excited to unveil the brilliant HERoes Ethnically Diverse Women Role Models. This list showcases twenty exceptional ethnically diverse women role models in business, representing multiple regions across the world who are going above and beyond to drive women’s inclusion. It’s vital to have trailblazing role models who we can all look towards for inspiration and guidance, and this group of twenty are working hard to dismantle barriers that impede women’s progression and equality within business and beyond.”

Commenting on Christina’s achievement, Emma Bunnell, CEO of HSBC Channel Islands and Isle of Man, said: “Integrating diversity and inclusion into the workplace is critical for our future sustainability as a business, and I’m delighted that Christina’s efforts to bring about real, positive change have been recognised through her inclusion on the Ethnically Diverse Women Role Models list.”
