A commercial seaplane service between St Peter Port and St Helier could be running no later than the end of June.
Jersey-based Clear Harbour Airways has progressed its bid to start up a service offering up to 10 flights a day. Canadian company, the Harbour Air Group, is its partner.
Benjamin Hill, founder of Clear Harbour Airways, says the company is working with regulators in Guernsey, who have already given permission for the airline to operate with a Foreign Air Operators Certificate.
He said the company also hopes to run a service to Alderney.
Mr Hill said berths have already been secured in the islands for the company’s 14 seater DHC-3 aircraft.
