Babbé LLP has appointed Ann Halliday to Counsel in its corporate team and Kim Manley to Senior Associate in the trust and private client team, further strengthening the firm’s expertise in its non-contentious practices.
Ann Halliday joins Babbé with extensive experience in Guernsey’s legal sector, having worked for offshore law firms for 14 years. She started her career in banking, qualifying as an associate of the London Institute of Banking and Finance and later qualified as an English solicitor, where she has gained over 20 years of experience in corporate, banking and finance law. Her role as counsel will significantly enhance the corporate team and bring it to the forefront of Babbé’s offering to clients as she advises on a wide range of corporate, banking and finance transactions.
Kim Manley brings a wealth of experience within a variety of practice areas including private client and trusts, wills and estates and charitable trusts. She joins their trust and private client team to support Senior Partner Andrew Laws who heads the firm’s trust and private client team. Her role will be primarily focused on all aspects related to non-contentious trusts with additional involvement in probate and commercial property work.
Nick Robison, Managing Partner at Babbé LLP, said: “The past 18 months have given us the opportunity to reflect on our goals for the future of the business and how we achieve them. A key focus for us is being Guernsey’s leader in client relationships.”
“To lead, we must have the technical skills to service our clients’ needs. However, we also need to have the right culture. That means having the right people who embody the values that we consider are important: Excellence, honesty, respect, accountability, and unity. I’m looking forward to Ann and Kim joining our team because they embody our values and have the right skills to help us achieve our goals.”
Both lawyers join Babbé at a time when the firm is focused on investing in its core practice offerings: Dispute resolution, regulatory, trusts and private client, corporate and other transactional legal services.
