Black Vanilla launches dedicated PR and marketing service for start-ups

Guernsey’s communications agency Black Vanilla has launched BV Bulb, a dedicated PR and marketing service for start-ups and small businesses.

Alisha Smith, Account Manager at Black Vanilla, commented: “Start-ups and small businesses have different needs to more established enterprises, and these needs will differ depending on what stage of growth the business is at”.

In response to this, BV Bulb offers three core packages: Set-Up, Step-Up and Train-Up. Each package distills the agency’s experience of working with entrepreneurs and growing businesses into high-value, high-impact tactics at an affordable price.

Bulb Set-Up is perfect for those who are at the start of their new business journey and therefore need to develop their brand story, key messages and set up their digital channels. Black Vanilla is collaborating with Rachael Cumberland-Dodd of Feed Marketing to help develop client’s brand stories.

Bulb Step-Up, a low-cost retainer, is for businesses that have already launched, but would like to take their communications strategy and outcomes to the next level to drive growth. Bulb Train-Up is for clients who may not be in the position to commit to a retainer, but would like to improve their social media impact through training.

Each of the packages are underpinned by the agency’s three strategic aims of improving reputation, building relationships and reaching the right audience.

Alisha added: “We have worked with organisations of all sizes and sectors and have poured that experience and know-how into these new fixed-cost packages. Budding entrepreneurs and small businesses are responding to opportunities presented by technological change and further shifts in consumer behaviour triggered by the pandemic.

“It is critical that these businesses establish the proper foundations to clearly and consistently communicate why their brand is different; get that right and a new business will be on the road to success”.
