Saffery Champness has demonstrated its focus on career progression by promoting six employees across the firm.
Wayne Le Maitre has been promoted to Trust Manager. He has 22 years’ experience in the trust and company sector and is a qualified member of ICSA, having started his career at Saffery Champness as a trainee administrator in 1997.
In his new role Mr Le Maitre will oversee a fiduciary team which specialise in the establishment, management and administration of a diverse portfolio of offshore structures for high net worth individuals across a range of jurisdictions.
Karin Brehaut has been promoted to Assistant Trust Manager. She joined Saffery Champness in 2015 as a Senior Trust Officer and has achieved the ICSA Diploma. Ms Brehaut works within a team which administers the structures and assets of an ultra-high net worth Middle East family.
Within Human Resources (“HR”), Sophie Tostevin has been promoted to Assistant HR Manager. She joined the firm as a HR Administrator in 2017 and was promoted to HR officer in 2018. Ms Tostevin is a CIPD Associate Member and is currently studying the CIPD level 5 diploma in Human Resource Management.
Across the fiduciary, tax and support services Joe Wright has been promoted to Trust Administrator, Olivia Venosa has been promoted to Tax Administrator and within Marketing, Imogen Bach has been promoted to Marketing Officer.
Saffery Champness has established a strong learning and development culture and supports staff from trainees to directors. It aims to recruit, train and retain the best employees on the island in order to grow and adapt the business to changing market conditions.
In recognition of the firm’s commitment to training and development it has achieved the ACCA Platinum Approved Employer and STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) Platinum Employer Partner status.
Saffery Champness currently employs more than 120 people in its Guernsey office and has seen many individuals progress through the firm to senior management roles, including managing director, Nick Batiste, who started with the company as a Trainee Trust Administrator in 1992.
