Having relocated from Asia to the UK with HSBC four years ago, she was most recently responsible for high-profile business in London as a Relationship Director. Prior to this, she led global transformation programmes at the commercial banking head office to digitise and re-engineer various customer experiences, making processes simpler and faster for customers. In Asia, Carrie worked in Hong Kong and Macau in relationship management roles, covering international small-to-medium sized enterprises as well as state-owned enterprises and private conglomerates, to help corporates grow and expand internationally.

Carrie is passionate about diversity and inclusion, as well as international trade, and has spoken at forums such as the Women Entrepreneur’s Network and the UK All-Party Parliamentary Groups Roundtable. She was named one of the top 30 ethnic minority future leaders by the Financial Times and Empower in 2017.

Carrie’s appointment follows the recent announcement that Benjamin Sykes has been named as Head of Global Liquidity and Cash Management (GLCM) for Commercial Banking (CMB) in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man, as the Bank continues to strengthen its capabilities to service business customers across the islands.

Commenting on the appointment, Warwick Long, Head of Commercial Banking, HSBC Channel Islands and Isle of Man, said:

“Carrie’s unrivaled experience in Asia and the UK stands her in very good stead for her new role in Guernsey. I am certain that the commercial banking business will continue to innovate and grow as a result of her leadership.”

Carrie also commented on her new role:

“HSBC’s commercial banking business plays a key role in the Guernsey community and I look forward to making a positive impact in the financial services and corporate sectors to help businesses grow locally and internationally.”
