Livingroom has appointed the first two of five new team members to the Jersey office as the Channel Island estate agent expands.
Charlotte Huish joins as a lettings negotiator and Mark Greenfield has been appointed as a sales negotiator.
As a lettings negotiator, Charlotte is responsible for market appraisals, viewings and communicating with landlords and tenants at every step of the process.
Her communication skills and understanding of Jersey life means she’s the perfect employee to work with local tenants and those who are new to calling Jersey home.
Charlotte is a well-known face in the Jersey business community having spent several years in advertising and marketing roles with the Jersey Evening Post and the Jersey Reds rugby club.
During her time with the paper, Charlotte used her longstanding interest in property to work on the Homelife supplement – a role which created an enviable book of contacts in the property world.
Mark has worked in the Jersey property sector since 2012 and brings yet more expertise to Livingroom.
With a career encompassing both residential and commercial sales on the island, Mark has a broad knowledge of the property market and combines this with a genuine passion and interest in the sector.
Property sales and lettings were strong for Livingroom at the end 2019 and early 2020 until the forced coronavirus lockdown period. Since Jersey moved into current phasing, the market recovery has been quicker than expected – with even greater activity than before led by a more emotive approach to buying and letting homes.
Simon Torode, Livingroom Founder, CEO, welcomed the new hires and said that they are joining at the perfect time.
“The market is incredibly busy so adding Charlotte and Mark’s experience and know- how will really strengthen our team and help them to meet demand.
“The pandemic has made islanders realise that where they live is a major part of their personal happiness and wellbeing, so a lot of people have been inspired to make a move.
“These appointments are the latest part of our growth story in Jersey, since we launched here in October 2018, and it’s testament to our team’s dynamism and incredibly hard work that we’ve made such a meaningful impact in the Jersey property world”.
