Jersey law firm Dickinson Gleeson has appointed two new lawyers to its litigation team.
Mr Jonathan Barham has been appointed as a Senior Associate and Ms Caitlin Bruce as an Associate. Jonathan read Law at the University of Exeter, was called to the English Bar in 2002 and is a member of Lincoln’s Inn.
Prior to his move to Jersey Jonathan practised as a barrister in the North-West of England, where he undertook a broad dispute resolution practice encompassing corporate, commercial and insolvency issues. He regularly advises companies, shareholders, office holders and corporate service providers on a wide range of issues.
Caitlin Bruce is a South African qualified attorney; she was educated at the University of Cape Town and holds an LLM in Labour Law. Prior to moving to Jersey, Caitlin worked at Tabacks, a leading independent law firm based in Johannesburg. One of the highlights of Caitlin’s work at Tabacks was advising one of the major creditors in a high-profile liquidation proceeding relating to the Optimum Coal Mine.
Caitlin also has experience in insolvency and liquidation proceedings and has advised both listed and international clients in private arbitrations and litigation involving contractual and commercial matters, as well as construction, mining and environmental disputes.
