Deloitte in the Islands & Gibraltar has announced 103 promotions across its four offices, with 40 promotions in the Jersey team, 35 in Guernsey and 19 in the Isle of Man team.
The latest round of promotions strengthens the audit, assurance, advisory and tax capabilities of Deloitte in the Islands and Gibraltar, recognising the dedication and hard work of each individual.
In Jersey, Jonathan Wiseman has been made an Associate Partner in Audit, after joining Deloitte as a Director in 2022 from London. Jonathan has 19 years of experience in providing audit and assurance services. He has worked with large and established global organisations and high-growth companies. Jonathan focuses on Deloitte’s investment management clients, particularly within the private equity and real estate sectors, and developing new relationships for the firm.
Hastings Chakanyuka in the Jersey Audit team and Rachel Williams in the Isle of Man Audit team have been promoted to Director. In the Jersey Tax team, Rupert Lee has also been promoted to Director.
Hastings started his career with Deloitte in Zimbabwe as an Audit Trainee in 2011. After qualifying through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe (ICAZ) in 2015, he briefly served in the Deloitte Las Vegas office before transitioning to Jersey as an Assistant Manager in 2016. Currently, he excels in offering services to clients within the private equity, private debt, and real estate sectors. As a private equity specialist, he spearheads the private equity sector in Jersey.
Rachel joined Deloitte in March 2015 and was responsible for the resource management team in the London Corporate business before moving over to a national role leading financial services in the Channel Islands. She relocated to the Isle of Man in 2019. Rachel leads the resource management team to ensure that the business can deliver high-quality audits with appropriate staffing.
Rupert joined Deloitte as an Associate Director in 2019 and has 13 years of tax experience working in Jersey and London. Rupert leads an array of corporate tax compliance, tax advisory and M&A engagements for financial services, local and multinational clients.
In Audit, Firas Eid and Denis Nyamwaro in Jersey and Saif Adi and Jenno Pedernal in Guernsey have been promoted to Senior Manager, alongside Chris Allo in the Jersey Tax team and Adam Nadolski in the Guernsey Tax team.
Rami Youzbashy, Shayan Tauheed Abbasi, Ahmad Alkharsa and Aroosa Syeda Zehra, all in the Guernsey Audit team, have been promoted to Manager. In the Jersey Audit team, Josephine Coleman, Omoladun Adebayo, Muhammad Mohsin Hafiz, Temiloluwa Sholola, Oluwasegun Oyewumi and Max Renouf-Watkins have also risen to Manager. In the Isle of Man, Mashaal Ghaffar and Syed Muhammad Naqvi have risen to Manager in the Audit team and Helen Moore has risen to Manager in the Tax team.
Promotions to Manager also include Viviane Kemgne in the Guernsey Tax team, Jana Skinjova in the firm’s Guernsey Advisory department and Sarah Webster in the Jersey Advisory team.
The Assistant Manager promotions at Deloitte include three tiers. In the Audit team, 18 have been promoted to Assistant Manager Level-3 and the Advisory team has seen two promotions to this tier. 13 have been promoted to Assistant Manager Level-1 across the islands. There have been two promotions to Assistant Manager in the Tax team.
Eight promotions were made to Senior Associate in the Audit team and two to Senior Associate Level-2 in Advisory.
In the BrightStart (school leaver) programme, nine Audit trainees have risen to Level-3 and 12 have been promoted to BrightStart Level-2. In the Advisory department, there was one promotion to BrightStart Level-3 and one promotion to BrightStart Level-2.
