The Jersey Data Protection Authority has announced that the 46th Global Privacy Assembly Annual Conference will take place in Jersey from October 28th to November 1st, 2024.
This annual event gathers hundreds of delegates from around the world and features more than 20 expert speakers and panellists.
World-leading experts in data privacy will lead catwalk debates and panel discussions and share keynotes on topics including:
- The future of privacy regulation
- Does AI compliment or conflict with data protection?
- Perspectives on cyber bullying, facial recognition and what privacy means for future generations
- The advantages and challenges of global cross border privacy rules
- International Data Transfers in the context of Financial Services
- Global best practice for the Internet of Things
The conference will kick off with a welcome reception on Monday, October 28, hosted at the Freedom Centre in St. Helier. This will be followed by one and a half days of Open Conference Sessions at the prestigious Royal Jersey Showground in Trinity.
These sessions will conclude with a Gala Dinner and Awards Night. The event will then continue with one and a half days of Closed Conference Sessions at the Radisson Blu Hotel in St. Helier for the Data Commissioners from the Global Privacy Assembly.
