Sandy Donnelly started Women Warriors Network in 2020 as a platform to showcase women’s success stories and to connect, contribute and develop relationships.
Sandy is a passionate advocate for healthy living and female empowerment. She organises pop-up healthy mind and body retreats in beautiful locations, but unfortunately due to the pandemic all these were cancelled in 2020 and most of 2021, so she decided to put her focus into the Women Warriors Network.
Sandy told Channel Eye that it has evolved rapidly in the past three months. When she organised the first online event, ‘Managing change through challenging times’, she invited four incredible female speakers from UAE, Monaco, USA and Jersey’s Dr Glenda Rivoallan. The event was ‘by invitation only’ and within two weeks she had over 350 sign-ups. Sandy said: “It blew me away and confirmed the power of networking, despite a global pandemic!”
The second event a month later took place this week and the audience grew to over 570 people. The topic for this event was ‘The importance of positive mental health’ and the speakers included a Princess from Kuwait and Real housewives of Jersey star, Hedi Green, along with the Editor in Chief from Monaco Life.
Sandy explained: “My goal is to attract more women (and supermen too), but women lead. The objective is to increase female leadership and give women opportunities to connect with other people outside of their ‘usual’ networks.
“The next event is 10th May, ‘The power of resilience for women at the top’ and I look forward to welcoming many more attendees. I believe we can build an international network of inspirational people, whether it be for business, career advice or inspiration”.
