In total more than 55 students were applauded amongst the sell-out audience of professionals in attendance at the CGI Jersey Graduation Dinner 2021.
Held at the Radisson Blu on Friday, 24th September, the event was hosted by the Jersey Branch of The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland (CGI) to recognise the achievements of graduates who qualified in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
The event also applauded CGI members who upgraded to Associate (ACG) and Fellow (FCG) status, students who had completed their IFA4 Certificate and IFA5 Diploma qualifications, and those who had achieved international and local accolade for their examination performance during this period.
The Student Excellence Award, which has been sponsored by BPP CI for the last 10 years, and based on examination performance was also awarded. As special recognition of the fortitude of students during the pandemic, the CGI Jersey Council chose to award a Student Excellence Award for each of the three examination sessions held since November 2019.
Anna Tredant ACG, the CGI Jersey Branch Chairman, said: “We were delighted to celebrate the achievements of our graduates, students and local members. Although not our usual Annual Awards event, we felt it was entirely appropriate to place this focus on the students, graduates and qualifying members, and to celebrate their hard work, especially so given the recent challenging times. We were particularly grateful to the generosity of our sponsors, Apex Group, BPP CI, Computershare, Crestbridge, First Intuition, and VG for making the event possible.”
Employees from a range of Jersey businesses were applauded. Since 2019, Jersey has achieved a total of 14 International Prize winners, each with the highest mark worldwide for their respective IFA4, IFA5 and CGQP papers.
