The winners of this year’s Jersey Finance Rising Stars Awards were announced last week at a ceremony on Friday 24 May at the Royal Jersey Showground.

The awards, now in their fifth year, are designed to recognise the future leaders from across the local financial services industry by celebrating young Jersey talent (ages 16 – 30 years).

The ceremony was introduced by Jersey Finance’s Chief Executive Officer, Joe Moynihan, who highlighted the positive role Jersey’s young professionals play within the industry. He emphasised the importance of supporting young local talent in order to maintain a sustainable and resilient future workforce on the Island.

More than 200 young professionals were nominated for the awards, of which 42 were shortlisted by a panel of independent judges. Votes were cast by members of the public to determine the winners.

Winners of the awards this year were:

  • Accountancy: Sivaradjen Ramsamy, Mourant
  • Banking: Clovie Knight, Standard Bank
  • Compliance: Abigail Venton, JTC Group
  • CSR: Matthew Coles, KPMG in the Crown Dependencies
  • Digital: Eve Smith, HSBC Bank Plc (Jersey Branch)
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Amy Anaminyi, Royal Bank of Scotland International Limited
  • Funds: Ayooluwa Alabi, KPMG in the Crown Dependencies
  • Human Resources: Eric Olival, CSC
  • Insurance: Hailey Gautier, R A Rossborough (Insurance Brokers) Limited
  • Investment Management: Ashley Correia, Stonehage Fleming Group
  • Law: Yurii Tsybulskyi, Baker and Partners
  • Marketing and Business Development: Lucy Warren, Ogier
  • Operations and Support: Adam Clift, Highvern
  • Trust and Corporate Services: Claudia Marques, Highvern

Commenting on the awards, Joe Moynihan said: “The awards, now in their fifth year, are a fantastic opportunity for financial services firms in Jersey to reward and recognise the young talent within our industry for outstanding achievements across 14 categories, with the welcome addition of our insurance category for 2024.

“We’ve had an amazing response to the awards this year. This support really drives home the incredible achievements and talent of our Island’s young professionals. The passion, commitment and dedication shown by these young professionals to both their employers and the community have really shone through, making them worthy winners. Congratulations to this year’s winners and those shortlisted nominees.

“I’d also like to say a special thanks to this year’s judges: Peter Le Masurier, Director of Business and Education at the Jersey College for Girls Foundation; Kate Nutt, Chief Officer for the Ministry of External Relations at the Government of Jersey and Daniel Rowles, CEO of Target Internet. As in previous years, the quality and volume of nominations meant that that they had a hard job of choosing this year’s shortlist, I would personally like to thank them for their time and commitment to the awards.”
