Following the success of the WellBeing Pilot programme to support the mental resilience, confidence and wellbeing of small business owners in Jersey, the programme has been relaunched for individuals, small businesses, corporates and their employees.
Created by WellBeing World, in partnership with Jersey Business, the WellBeing Reimagined Toolkit will be made available from 1st January 2021 based on the WellBeing Pilot.
The original Pilot was funded through the generous support of a Local Foundation to support the health and wellbeing of small business owners and entrepreneurs to help them develop the mental resilience to rebuild their businesses following the shock of COVID-19. It comprised a structured wellbeing programme to specifically deal with stress/anxiety, overwhelm, guilt, decision making, and to enhance self-care, avoid burnout, and rebuild confidence.
The WellBeing Reimagined Toolkit will include the NHS approved mental health app, Thrive, to provide in-depth tools to detect, prevent and treat anxiety, depression and other mental health conditions; a choice of health and wellbeing practitioner services ranging from Life Coaching, Counselling, CBT, NLP, Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Bioenergetics, Massage, Indian Head Massage, Sleep Consultancy, Nutrition, to Forest Therapy, Yoga, Pilates, Exercise Referral, and Personal Training; and a comprehensive library of additional resources, including meditations and back copies of WellBeing World magazine.
Small business owners reported that as a result of the WellBeing Pilot they felt better, less stressed and better equipped to address the needs of their business. Some of the feedback included:
- “The WellBeing Pilot Scheme has turned my life around.”
- “I credit the WellBeing Pilot Scheme with saving my business from getting dangerously close to disappearing altogether.”
- “I have new tools to use when the overwhelm starts to kick in.”
- “The Well Being Pilot Scheme has turned my life around. I feel more focused on my business now than I ever have.”
Beverley Le Cuirot, Founder of WellBeing World and co-creator of the WellBeing Pilot said: “Many participants experienced a re-connection which they felt had been lost. This enabled them to turn things around for themselves and for their business. Thanks to the forward thinking and kind generosity of the Foundation, small business owners in Jersey were able to experience this essential re-connection. To help someone out of that space is invaluable and changes lives for the better.
“Supporting the health and wellbeing of all individuals continues to be of paramount importance given the increase in mental health issues, fear and isolation. As a society, we continue to experience collective stress and anxiety like never before, and therefore this additional support for lives and livelihoods is vital.
“We are very grateful to the Foundation for enabling us to prove the concept through the Pilot, and we are delighted now to be able to offer the Toolkit to individuals, other small business owners, and corporates for their employees, especially so as we look ahead to what is proving to be a very long winter for many,” she added.
