Viberts’ staff have donated £8,000 to four Jersey charities: Brighter Futures, Jersey Women’s Refuge, Mind Jersey and Macmillan Jersey, through their ‘dress down donation’ initiative.
Every year Viberts’ staff nominate local charities that are close to their hearts to receive the monthly contribution they make, from their salary, for their weekly Friday dress down day.
Dr Patricia Tumelty, Executive Director of Mind Jersey said: “Donation are so important and help us continue our vital services, but knowing that people support us also inspires us”
Kevin Alway, Operations Communications Manager for Macmillan Jersey commented: “Corporate partnerships such as this play a vital role in enabling us to achieve our vision that everybody affected by cancer in Jersey will have access to emotional, practical and wellbeing support”.
Sharon Betts, Community Engagement Officer at Brighter Futures said: “Brighter Futures are pleased to have been so favourably considered in this way. Together we are creating brighter futures for families in Jersey”.
Terry Morel, Fundraising Coordinator at Jersey Women’s Refuge, said: “Jersey Women’s Refuge is able to provide protection and counselling to women and children affected by domestic abuse thanks to the generosity of supporters like the team at Viberts.”
Viberts’ staff have chosen to raise money for the same four charities during 2022.
Managing Partner Zoe Blomfield said: “I am very proud of the ongoing generosity shown by Viberts’ staff in supporting the inspiring and vital work carried out by all our chosen charities. As a firm we strongly support the work they deliver within our community and I hope that our donation can make a real difference to local people’s lives.”
