IoD Jersey, in partnership with Lean In Jersey, will be hosting a series of three hour-long webinars with Joanne Reid Rodrigues, one of the UK’s foremost therapists and life-management trainers.
Beginning on 25th June, the free webinars will cover various topics to help attendees with stress-management and overall wellbeing, including: the role of diet in mental wellness; habits to bring about authentic confidence and how to change self-defeating behaviours.
Joanne has chosen for her fee for the webinars to be donated to The Jersey Shelter Trust to support her local community during these difficult times. Marbral Advisory and We Talk Wellbeing, who have recently launched their partnership to offer wellbeing consultancy in Jersey, are sponsoring these webinars, with all monies going to The Jersey Shelter Trust.
Joanne is a qualified practitioner in nutrition and cognitive behavioural therapy. She has been studying, writing about, and teaching her life-management and weight-management programmes for more than thirty years. Since founding Slimming Together in 1986, aged just twenty-four, Joanne has enjoyed a successful career as an internationally acclaimed inspirational speaker, a writer, and a trainer in both the private and corporate sectors. She is the author of Life Transformation Diet and Slim, Happy & Free. Her inspirational stories have been published in the New York Times Bestselling Chicken Soup for the Soul series.
Joanne Reid Rodrigues, therapist and life management trainer, says: “Peace of mind, and health and vitality increase our quality of life and productivity each day. In my webinars, I will share simple principles to help you look after your physical health, reduce stress, and develop self-trust and authentic confidence. Even in these challenging times, we will flourish.”
Glenda Rivoallan, representing We Talk Wellbeing and Marbral Advisory, says: “Sponsoring Joanne’s Wellness Webinar Series means a lot to us both professionally and personally. For far too long we’ve seen businesses pay lip service to wellbeing but not ingrain it authentically in their culture. Our partnership is looking to redress this and supporting excellent practitioners like Joanne to increase people’s awareness of mental and physical wellness, stress management and confidence building raises much needed awareness. We are looking forward to being involved in the webinars and Q&A’s and are very proud to partner with IoD Jersey and Lean In Jersey on this initiative.”
Lisa Springate, Chair, IoD Jersey, says: “At the IoD, we are really excited that we are still able to reach out to our community and deliver insightful and motivating talks in these tough times. We are thrilled to have someone with Joanne’s experience to contribute to our series of webinars. In the current climate, stress-management and physical and mental wellbeing are more important than ever, and we hope those who attend the webinars will benefit hugely from Joanne’s advice and guidance.”
