Utmost is celebrating a decade of sponsoring Team Guernsey ahead of this year’s Island Games with an exciting new photographic display.
As a tribute to this 10-year milestone, the faces of some of Guernsey’s well-known athletes and upcoming sporting stars will be showcased on the Utmost building.
The building will be wrapped with this photographic display as a visual representation of Utmost’s continuous support of the Guernsey team.
Leon Steyn, Chief Executive Officer, Utmost International Guernsey, said: “It is an honour to support Team Guernsey again this year, and we look forward to an exciting home Games.
“We hope this display will raise awareness of our excellent Guernsey team and we are glad to have this opportunity to celebrate local sporting talent.
“This is the first of many events we will be holding ahead of the Island Games and we hope it will inspire the community to join us in getting into the Island Games spirit, recognising the outstanding commitment, determination and achievements of our Team Guernsey athletes.”
Island Games athlete, Jemima Green, said: “I feel so proud to represent Guernsey on an international stage and to do it on a home ground will make it even more special for my first time competing. Having my photo up makes being in the team feel so real and seeing Island Games being advertised in Guernsey makes the experience even more exciting.”
Chair of Guernsey Island Games Association, Brian Allen, added: “It’s fantastic to see the photographs of so many wonderful athletes from so many different sports. The help and assistance from Utmost to the Guernsey Island Games team has been really impressive over these past 10 years. We cannot thank them enough for their support for the Guernsey Team and of the younger athletes coming through.”
The window display will remain on the building in the lead up to the Island Games, which take place from 3-9 July this year.
