UK Marketing Agency, Brand Champions, have relocated to Jersey, recognising the potential for Jersey’s tourism and hospitality sector.
Brand Champions arrives on-Island with an array of ‘big name’ clients, from the likes of British Airways, Royal Caribbean, Pfizer and Nestle. Now they are looking to share their marketing expertise with Jersey businesses ahead of the peak booking season in January.
Former marketing director at Royal Caribbean and founder of The Brand Champions, Fiona Wylie, identifies Jersey tourism as belonging to what she describes as the ‘squeezed middle’.
“Destinations like Jersey can be challenging to market to potential visitors, as they don’t sit neatly within a super-luxe or a budget holiday category”, Fiona Wylie explains. “They operate within what I call the ‘squeezed middle’. The audience for this segment is less clearly defined and often highly nuanced. It is a target market we have experience reaching at Brand Champions and I see huge potential for growth here in Jersey.”
To help businesses within this ‘squeezed middle’ realise their potential, Brand Champions are offering free 40-minute Zoom consultations to local businesses within the tourism and hospitality sector. The consultation invites businesses of all sizes and budgets to benefit from Brand Champions decades-long experience within the travel sector and to think about reaching their audiences in a more targeted way. Following the short workshop, businesses will then be given access to industry-specific downloads to assist them in their marketing efforts.
“Having experienced a Jersey welcome myself over the last few months and as a token of my confidence in the growth potential for the sector, we wanted to offer a no-obligation one-to-one to the industry, particularly after the gruelling 18 months they have endured.”
Fiona continues, “At Brand Champions we specialize in overcoming any gritty problems that get in the way of success and I am confident that we can help Jersey prepare winning holiday campaigns ahead of peak booking season in January and beyond.”
