Two new lawyers have Joined Walkers’ Growing Jersey Team.
Insolvency & Dispute Resolution lawyer Alex Schluep and Private Capital & Trusts lawyer Devan Gounden have joined Walkers’ Jersey team, as the firm continues to grow its Channel Islands business.
Alex has been in private practice since 2013, initially as an Advocate in South Africa focused on shareholder and directors disputes and insolvency matters, before moving offshore in 2021.
After being admitted as an Advocate in South Africa, Devan spent over ten years with major South African financial institutions, where he gained substantial financial, legal, fiduciary and compliance experience before moving offshore and joining Walkers in 2022.
Their arrivals mean that headcount in Walkers’ Jersey office has grown by a third in the last 12 months, despite the constraints imposed by the global pandemic.
