Mourant took home two Silver awards at the Citywealth Powerwomen Awards last week.
Counsel, Catherine Moore, won ‘Woman of the Year – Rising Star’ and Associate, Roisin Cullinane, was named ‘Woman of the Year – Future Leaders (Associate, VP)’.
The winners were announced in London at a ceremony attended by business leaders from the world of private wealth.
Mourant Global Managing Partner, Jonathan Rigby, said: “We’re so proud of Catherine and Roisin on this thoroughly deserved achievement. They are both excellent lawyers who demonstrate strong technical ability, a proactive; client focused approach and consistently go above and beyond to support others in a professional and personable manner. Our firm has an ambitious growth strategy that relies on our ability to empower our people to be the best they can be, so to have not one, but two recognised in this way is extremely gratifying. Congratulations Catherine and Roisin!”
Catherine, who is part of the firm’s award winning International Trust and Private Client (ITPC) practice in Guernsey, achieved full STEP membership last year which is one of the foremost qualifications in the trust and private client industry. She was also recognised in the ePrivateclient Top 35 Under 35 list.
Roisin, who has been with the firm since 2013, is an Associate in Mourant’s top-tier Jersey funds practice and advises a number of real estate and private equity funds, fund promoters and other financial services providers. It was recently announced by Monterey that Mourant has been the leading legal adviser to Jersey funds for 20 consecutive years.
The Citywealth Powerwomen Awards spotlight individuals and companies who support care giving responsibilities, female leadership and celebrate diversity, and who maximise the potential of women in leadership roles within the wealth sector to create a platform for best practice to collectively exercise positive social influence in their industry.
In addition to the award wins, six leading professionals at Mourant have been included in the latest Citywealth International Powerwomen Top 100 list, more than any other offshore law firm.
