Durrell’s new Chief Executive Officer and the owner of a popular hospitality and fisheries business are the latest to join the Jersey Hospitality Association’s Management Committee.
Rebecca Brewer (pictured) and Gabby Mason were appointed at the Association’s Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 26th March. The Jersey Hospitality Association’s Honorary Chair, Malcolm Lewis, was re-appointed to serve for a second term.

Gabby Mason, who co-founded Jade-S Fisheries and co-owns the Driftwood Café at Archirondel, will chair the Jersey Hospitality Association’s Casual Dining & Catering Sub-Sector, while Rebecca Brewer will bring extensive experience in financial and commercial operations as well as sustainability to the Jersey Hospitality Association (JHA) Committee.
Ana Calvani, Co-CEO of the Jersey Hospitality Association, said: “We are delighted to welcome Becky and Gabby who will strengthen the representative voice of two hugely important sub-sectors in our industry. The casual dining and catering sector is the daily touchpoint for islanders and visitors to our industry. Gabby Mason is super passionate and is excited about bringing this sub-sector together, amplifying its voice while continuing to support local fishers and other producers. With her links to the fishing industry, it will be extremely beneficial for us to have Gabby on board especially as we set up and establish our Delicious Jersey Seafood Festival later this year.”
Marcus Calvani, Co-CEO, added: “Having two further leaders with extensive experience of our industry join our committee will be an immense help in moving forward. Becky’s passion for conservation, combined with her industry expertise, highlights the vital role Durrell plays in Jersey’s Visitor Economy. She is excited about all the opportunities that strengthening the relationship between Durrell and the rest of the industry can bring in supporting sustainable growth. Gabby is one of the most passionate, young, local, foodie entrepreneurs on our island. Her depth of knowledge of local produce and specifically the local fishing community, will further engage this incredibly important industry. I am excited to be working closely with both Becky and Gabby and thank them for dedicating their time to help support our association.”
