It was a night to remember for Butterfield at the Citywealth International Financial Centre (IFC) Awards.
The independent offshore bank and trust company scooped three titles at the 2020 Awards reception, picking up the Trust Company of the Year – Guernsey award for the third year in a row. Butterfield received awards in the following categories:
- WINNER – Private Bank of the Year – Channel Islands and Isle of Man
- WINNER – Trust Company of the Year – Guernsey
- WINNER – Trustee of the Year – Channel Islands and Isle of Man – Paul Hodgson
- RUNNER UP – Trust Company of the Year – Bahamas, Bermuda and Cayman
The Bank was also shortlisted for:
- Trust Company of the Year – Hong Kong & Singapore
- Trust Company of the Year- Switzerland
Butterfield’s awards were collected by Paul Hodgson, Deputy Group Head of Trust, Guy Quigley Head of Business Development for Butterfield Trust (Guernsey) Limited, and Stefano Finetti, Vice President, Client Relationship Management for Butterfield Bank (Guernsey) Limited, at the Awards reception at the Rosewood London Hotel on 29 January 2020.

The awards now in their ninth year, were established to showcase the excellence of advisers and managers in the private wealth sector. The winners were selected following a public vote and were judged by a panel of international industry experts from all private wealth sectors across multiple jurisdictions. The judges choose winners who have excelled in achievement, innovation, expertise and service.
