Thursday 29th September 2022 is a special day to showcase the work of the Bailiwick’s Care Support Workers.
The programme for the day will include talks and speeches from HSC Heads of Services, an exhibition representing all service areas and the Care Certificate Programme along with the presentation of awards.
Helena Avery, Lead for the Care Certificate said: “Our Care Support Workers do amazing work and provide essential services across all areas of health and social care. I am delighted that we can celebrate Care Support Worker Day and highlight the wide variety of roles that are carried out by these unregistered staff daily.
“There are no specific qualifications needed to be a support worker – beyond a positive attitude and willingness to learn – which are essential. However, with the training and support provided by HSC colleagues, we now have highly skilled care support workers and this day is to celebrate all their hard work.”
Following the talks and speeches, awards will be presented for:
- Best Care Certificate programme
- Best team player
- Best Care Support Worker/Health Care Assistance Mentor
