Bedell Cristin has announced that three of its lawyers in Jersey have achieved legal milestones within the last month.
Hannah Robinson, a Senior Associate, has passed her Jersey bar exams, while Associates, Ema Francisco and Tom Dawson, have qualified as Solicitors of the Senior Courts in England and Wales.
Both Hannah and Ema currently work in the Property team at the firm and Tom is a member of the Financial Services Law team.
Hannah, who obtained an LLB degree and LPC (Legal Practice Course) from Lancaster University in 2014, joined Bedell in Jersey in 2019. Recent accolades have included recognition on the Legal 500 UK ‘rising stars’ list for two successive years and inclusion in the ‘associates to watch’ list in Chambers and Partners UK 2023. Hannah, who has a broad spectrum of commercial property experience in the UK and Jersey, will be sworn in as a Jersey Advocate in the coming months.
Both Ema and Tom undertook their training while working for Bedell Cristin and both benefitted from the firm’s bursary scheme. Ema was awarded a First Class Honours degree in Law at the University of Portsmouth and Tom completed a BSC in geography and then a graduate Diploma in Law. He has become the first Bedell Cristin trainee to qualify as a solicitor through the SQE (Solicitors Qualifying Exam) route. Meanwhile, Ema, who works on a variety of commercial and residential matters, will permanently join the firm’s International Private Client team in the first quarter of next year.
Jeff O Boyle, Partner and Head of Property, said: “These are major accomplishments for all three and reflect the commitment, diligence and dedication they apply to every aspect of their work. I’m naturally delighted that two colleagues from our Property team have reached these personal milestones and I congratulate all three on their achievements.”
