Jamie Colquhoun, Matthew Davies and Charlotte Ward have graduated from Ogier’s English solicitor training programme to join the firm as associates.
Jamie, Matthew and Charlotte have successfully completed the two-year training scheme programme, which is regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, and which sees trainees take on up to four “seats” in different legal teams, as well as the Professional Skills Course and an experiential litigation course that includes a mock trial at the Magistrate’s Court.
Ogier is one of only two Channel Island firms to have invested in a training scheme regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, and graduates of that scheme include a number of senior lawyers including partner Richard Daggett.
The newest associates are:
- Jamie Colquhoun, who joins as an associate in the Jersey Banking & Finance team.
- Matthew Davies, who joins as an associate in the Jersey Dispute Resolution team.
- Charlotte Ward, who joins as an associate in the Guernsey Dispute Resolution team.
Partner Simon Dinning, who leads the training scheme, said: “We are delighted to celebrate Jamie, Matthew and Charlotte’s success and welcome them to their new roles as associates.
“Qualifying as a Solicitor is a landmark in anyone’s legal career and our investment in supporting trainees through a dedicated development programme equivalent to those run by City firms is something that we take significant pride in.”
