Andrew Soddy, Executive Head Chef and his pastry team at L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa have had some ‘pinkspiration’ and created a delicious pink themed spread to help Islanders battling breast cancer.
Their special pink afternoon tea is back on the menu at the AA Four Red Star beachside hotel in St Brelade every weekend throughout October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Shaun McGachan, Hotel Manager at L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa said: “We are delighted to be supporting After Breast Cancer Care again this year. Our guests helped us raise £1,000 last year and we hope they will help us raise even more this October.
“The charity does such a great job locally, raising awareness, encouraging women to get screened and to make sure they know what signs to look for, as well as providing invaluable support to islanders diagnosed with the disease.”
Discussing some special treatments available to those who may have undergone treatment for cancer he went on to say: “The Spa team at L’Horizon are Touch Therapy trained having learnt how to adapt treatments and help provide alternative support to guests going through cancer, those who have suffered from trauma, undergone an operation or treatment for illness so this is a cause really close to our hearts.”
