The Seymour Inn, Grouville has closed temporarily for an extensive refurbishment.
The popular local pub managed by Liberation Pubs & Bars (part of Liberation Group) will reopen its doors on Thursday 21st April.
One of the best-situated pubs in Jersey, with unrivalled views across to Seymour Tower and beyond, The Seymour Inn’s interior is being given a fresh new look. The existing character of the building will be retained and enhanced with walls painted in hues of blues and greys, statement wallpaper, glass ship light fittings and nautical touches completing the modern seaside look.
The existing Captain’s bar will be subtly updated with copper gantries and a bespoke timber-built back bar. A wooden and tiled floor is being laid throughout the newly opened revealed bar and restaurant area which will feature beautifully upholstered banquette seating and classic wooden furniture, creating a variety of cosy and elegant drinking and dining areas to choose from.
Steve Elson, Operations Manager, Liberation Pubs & Bars says: “The pub is going to look amazing and we can’t wait to show it off to our incredibly loyal locals and visitors. Despite the changes the integrity of this beautiful building remains intact, as does our award-winning food and drink offering so it’s the same Seymour Inn…only better!”
Renowned for its seafood, the Seymour Inn’s menu will continue to focus on the water, locally sourced produce, seasonal ingredients and elevated hearty pub classics. The menus and daily specials will also feature Liberation ales where possible. The bar will stock a great selection of wine and cocktails, alongside a wide range of craft beer, real ale and cider from Liberation’s award-winning brewery a few miles away.
