The Jersey International Motoring Festival is looking to help solidify the future of Motoring in Jersey with the Introduction of sustainable petrol for all competitive vehicles.
The development is a first for the event and a significant step forward in Jersey International Motoring Festival’s mission to support a greener future for motorsport and classic car enthusiasts.
Thanks to the support from Rubis Channel Islands, the organisers of Jersey International Motoring Festiva (JIMF) have announced that the cutting-edge synthetic petrol will be available at the Rubis First Tower forecourt.
“This isn’t just about making motorsport more sustainable — it’s about giving the wider community a chance to experience what the future of fuel can look like, helping Classic car owners keep their pride and joy on the road for years to come,” said event Coordinator Steve Salmon.
Following the festival, and while stocks last, members of selected motor clubs and associations on the island will have the opportunity to try the sustainable fuel for themselves, marking the first time a sustainable petrol has been made available to the public at a forecourt anywhere in the British Isles.
Nick Crolla, Head of Marketing, Rubis Channel Islands, commented: “At Rubis Channel Islands, we’re committed to delivering greener, more sustainable energy solutions across the islands. Our continuous support of the Jersey International Motoring Festival is a great step in the right direction, and we’re proud to contribute to the event’s ongoing efforts to become more environmentally friendly.
“Over the years, progress has been made, including running all generators at the event on Renewable Diesel and this year marks just the start of making Renewable Petrol available to all competitors. Looking ahead, we’ll continue to explore the right fuel blends based on public demand, ensuring that our solutions meet the needs of both event organisers and the wider community.”
