Guernsey management consultants, The Evolution Group, has expanded into the UK market and appointed business and technology change expert, Stuart Low, as Managing Director of the newly formed The Evolution Group UK.
In addition to their geographic expansion they have also added two new service lines, Coaching and Training, to their portfolio.
Expansion into UK market
Commenting on the expansion into the UK, CEO of The Evolution Group, Matt Warren, said: “We’ve experienced a huge increase in enquiries from UK based organisations so establishing a foothold over there is a natural next step for us and will enable us to serve those clients even more effectively.”
Stuart Low (pictured), an IT and business change expert with over 35 years of experience, has been appointed as Managing Director of The Evolution Group UK.
Warren continued: “We’re thrilled that Stuart has taken up the position of Managing Director of The Evolution Group UK. He has an incredible professional track record in identifying and delivering successful business and technology change across the globe. We set a high bar when we search for individuals to join The Evolution Group team, demanding high levels of experience, qualifications and passion, and Stuart most certainly ticks all those boxes.”
Stuart Low has built a unique skill set during his 35 years of delivering IT and business change across a variety of industry sectors including financial services, telecom, automotive, education and local authority. He has extensive experience in leading global teams and taking concepts from strategy, through full life cycle, to successful implementation.
Stuart Low said: “The Evolution Group has built a great reputation for themselves in Guernsey. It’s what initially attracted me to join them, and I’m really looking forward to helping them build and expand on that within the UK. They’re an exciting company, going from strength-to-strength, and I’m delighted to be involved in the next chapter of their success story.”
New Service Lines
The Evolution Group are branching out to provide a more all-inclusive offering for their clients with the new service lines of Training and Coaching.
Matt Warren explained: “We’re passionate about helping our clients to meet not only their immediate challenges, but also their future challenges. This is where the basis of our new service lines has developed.
“Offering a training service line fits with that sustainable culture of evolution, enabling us to leave a legacy of expertise with our clients. We will be offering training courses within Programme, Project, Change Management and Business Analysis.”
Sean Petralia, a Senior Consultant with The Evolution Group, is leading the training service line. He is a Programme and Project specialist with a USP in building and developing internal project teams so that client organisations inherit a strong change capability once the programme is delivered. He is also a skilled trainer who trains and mentors project professionals.
Sean explained: “Currently the options for training in the areas of Programme, Project, Change Management and Business Analysis are limited and fragmented often requiring staff to study remotely or off-Island. Speaking with clients they would like a more joined-up way of not only using consultancy companies to manage and deliver the transformation but to also provide bespoke training for their staff aligned to the change as well as developing their internal project and change team’s capability for the future. I’m delighted we’re now in a position to meet this demand and am really looking forward to providing this much needed service.”
Matt Warren continued: “The other new service line, Coaching, is something we’ve been piloting as a team. We’re fortunate to have a member of our team, Darren Sylvester, who is passionate about coaching and has been working with our team to help them identify their strengths and potential and build goals. In our opinion this has been much more effective and rewarding than the traditional appraisal and we’re delighted to be able to offer this new service out to clients.”
Darren explained: “Coaching is becoming more commonplace in organisations as they replace annual appraisals and Personal Development Plans with more frequent interactions. Coaching is no longer solely the domain of Senior Management, with many organisations making the offering available to individuals at all levels of the business; aiding succession planning and maximising opportunities for them to develop.
“Coaching is more tailored and helps individuals to reach their potential, which results in; improved employee wellbeing, increased productivity and retention as well as releasing managers from the time-consuming traditional performance management process. All of which is of course beneficial to the employer as well.”
