Ten Mourant lawyers from the firm’s global investment funds team have been recognised by Who’s Who Legal as among the world’s leading private funds practitioners.
The Who’s Who Legal: Private Funds 2021 guide is based on independent research and recommendations from peers and clients from general counsel and private practice lawyers worldwide in the fund formation sector. Individuals listed are identified as the most prominent practitioners in the sector for their work on a range of fund formation matters.
Mourant Funds Partner, Ben Robins, said: “Having 10 of our global fund partners listed as leading practitioners for private funds is a reflection of our extensive experience, in-depth technical focus and deep resources in the sector, built through many years of sustained growth and trusted relationships with our clients. It underlines the strength of our global funds practice”.
Ben continued: “It’s also great to see so many of our peers featured within the guide. I’d like to thank all of those who took the time to provide feedback on our services, and congratulate our peers that also feature”.
Mourant’s investment funds practice group is one of the most highly regarded in the global offshore market. Over the last year the firm has played a leading role on a strong flow of significant new fund launches and some of the biggest deals in the market, including the largest ever fundraising by a European private equity firm.
Cayman Partner Alex Last has also been featured as a leading practitioner in the regulatory section of The Who’s Who Legal: Private Funds 2021 guide.
The team is independently endorsed by Chambers and Partners, IFLR1000 and Legal 500, praised as ‘particularly strong in client service, backed up by a wealth of experience and knowledge’ (Legal 500), with clients highlighting the firm’s ‘depth of knowledge with an excellent service culture’, (Chambers and Partners).
