Following the success of the inaugural Tech Start-Up Bootcamp this year, Digital Jersey has announced the launch of the 2024 programme, held in collaboration with PwC, RiskScreen and Tekex.
Digital entrepreneurs are now being encouraged to apply to become one of five start-up founders selected for the 12-week programme, during which they will have the opportunity to develop, launch and scale their tech-based business ideas within a sandbox environment.
Throughout the programme, participants will benefit from full support from Digital Jersey and its network of experts, through workshops, masterclasses and one-to-one sessions, aimed at helping them to develop their ideas and make their business ‘investor ready’. Bootcampers will also work with a personal mentor, tailored to their specific business idea, and enjoy full access to the Digital Jersey Hub, from desk space to meeting rooms.
At the end of the 12 weeks, participants will have the opportunity to present and pitch their ideas to a panel of judges and investors.
Digital Jersey CEO Tony Moretta said: “Our first ever Bootcamp was a massive success – we saw an incredibly diverse set of ideas emerge from across our broad digital sector, from fintech products right through to digital mental health solutions. We were so impressed by the digital creativity the island has to offer, and with the return of the Bootcamp next year, we can’t wait to see what else Jersey has in store.
“Digital Jersey is all about connecting people and giving them the tools they need to shape our future, and we think that this initiative is the perfect opportunity for the digital trailblazers amongst us to develop and showcase their cutting-edge ideas”.
2023 Bootcamper Tamsin Raine, founder of Exordi, believes the Bootcamp is an unmissable opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs. As the winner of the final pitch event, Tamsin won a spot to represent Exordi, and Jersey, at the world’s leading startup convention in Helsinki this year.
Tamsin said: “Without a doubt, if you’re even remotely considering applying to the Bootcamp, I wholeheartedly encourage you to take the leap and submit your application. This transformative experience has been nothing short of remarkable”.
Digital entrepreneurs have until 30th September to submit their application to take part in the 2024 Digital Jersey Start-Up Bootcamp.
