Sure has reassured islanders in the wake of Coronavirus hitting our shores.
Alistair Beak, Sure’s chief business officer, said:
“As a provider of critical telecoms infrastructure for Jersey and Guernsey, we want to reassure islanders that Sure has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak and has put procedures in place to limit the impact on our services.
“We have disaster recovery procedures that can be implemented as required to maintain the resilience and capability of our networks and our operations and we are well placed to implement these measures and meet the island’s ongoing needs. Our current supply levels are in a strong position and where necessary we are increasing stock holdings to reduce any risk of interruption to supply.
“We will continue to monitor the situation as it unfolds and, in the event we need to close our office, the majority of our day-to-day business operations can be performed remotely by our employees and we already have the networks, IT systems and devices to enable this.
“We will keep all customers updated on the latest situation via our website: www.sure.com ”
