Professional services firm Suntera Global has received recognition from the Chartered Management Institute for a programme it has developed specifically to support employees in management roles across its international network.
Gaining ‘recognition’ status for its ‘Global Management Development Programme’ from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) benchmarks it against the global Professional Standards for Management. It also opens up opportunities for those Suntera employees who have completed the programme to become CMI members and develop their career further by accessing CMI resources.
In order to achieve recognition, Suntera undertook a rigorous application and benchmarking process, which was externally and robustly assessed by the CMI.
To date, 45 people have gone through the programme from across the locations where Suntera has an operation, including teams in the Cayman Islands, Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey, Luxembourg and Hong Kong. The Programme aims to support existing managers and aspiring managers by developing their leadership skills and equipping them with knowledge to effectively support their colleagues and drive positive change.
Sharon De Mendonca (pictured), Chief People Officer at Suntera Global, said: “This is a fantastic endorsement of our bespoke management development programme, which is having a tangible and positive impact on the career trajectories of people right across our international network. Not only does this achievement reflect our strong relationship with a leading global management body, it also sends a clear message that Suntera is committed to nurturing talent and upholding the highest international standards of management.”
Janine Mayor, Business Partner – Learning and Development, Suntera Global, added: “Gaining CMI recognition reflects just how important we feel it is to invest in our people. This achievement highlights the quality of the programme itself, but it also brings with it opportunities for our people to access ongoing development opportunities, support and advice, through the CMI platform. That represents a considerable benefit for our people who are currently in management roles and have been part of this excellent programme. The CMI recognition and ongoing professional membership provides them with the resources they need to grow and develop their skills further.”
