What a glorious testament to Jersey hospitality through the years – the Salty Dog Bar and Bistro has celebrated turning 24 this week.
The vibrant, Jersey hotspot has been serving customers for almost two and a half decades and owner, Natalie Parkin is quite literally, over the moon
“Oh my!! What can I say? 24 years with my Salty Dog family have been filled with the most incredible highs and at times traumatic lows, we have laughed, cried, danced and partied, catered to weddings and diversified into deliveries and takeaway and we are still here, stronger than ever, better than ever, still smiling, still serving up amazing food and doing what we do best – hosting, wining and dining all our lovely customers.
“The saying goes that there is no ‘I’ in team, I would agree wholeheartedly as without my most wonderful friends and work colleagues who have triumphed through adversity and remained solid and committed to what they believe to be ‘their’ Salty Dog, we would not be where we are now.
“I could not acknowledge our success without saying a very special thanks to the hard work and unwavering commitment of our Head Chef Paul Fletcher and Hostess with the mostess, Liz Jenner, who have both been at my side for most of the last 24 years.
“It is a year of optimism and celebration for our lovely island and I am so proud of our achievements and that we are still here after 24 years at the heart of our beloved St. Aubin’s village.”
The Salty Dog team would like to thank all of their lovely customers and also the media for their support, especially over the course of the last couple of years, which really tested the mettle of every hospitality business in Jersey.
Here’s to another 24 years of the Salty Dog!
