SRM Accounting has announced its continued support for the LEAP – Leadership, Empowerment, Action, Progress – Jersey Programme, marking the second year of partnership.
The LEAP programme, organised by Jersey College for Girls, aims to inspire and develop future female leaders through a series of challenges, mentorship, and developmental activities.
Shakera Rolle-manuel, founder of SRM Accounting, expressed her enthusiasm for supporting LEAP, highlighting the importance of empowering young women to become leaders in their communities and beyond. “As a women-led firm, SRM Accounting is deeply committed to fostering the growth and development of future female leaders. We believe in the mission of The LEAP Programme and are thrilled to see the remarkable impact it has on the participants,” said Rahim.
This year’s competition saw a diverse group of talented young women from around the world presenting innovative social enterprise ideas. The participants demonstrated exceptional passion and creativity, showcasing their potential to drive positive change. The programme not only provided valuable experience but also fostered a sense of community and collaboration among the participants.
The LEAP programme develops business, entrepreneurial, and leadership skills through launching social enterprise projects to target key global issues. International teams of students formulate their ideas into a business pitch, with global experts acting as coaches, mentors, and guides. In a Dragon’s Den-like final pitch, these experts also act as investors, ready to provide funding.
“Supporting LEAP aligns with our core values of empowerment, leadership, and social responsibility. It is inspiring to see these young women tackle real-world issues with such determination and innovation. We are honoured to be part of their journey,” added Rolle-manuel.
