Organisers of the Saffery Rotary Walk are encouraging islanders to share their training tips, photographs or any stories they have about the Walk from previous years.
The next Saffery Rotary Walk is set to take place on Saturday 8th June 2024
You may be a previous volunteer, or a proud owner of the orange Saffery Rotary Walk shirt, having embarked on the 39-mile route yourself. It could be that you have cheered a loved one on from the side lines and witnessed first-hand the determination of the walkers. No matter what your involvement, the Walk wants to
hear from you as you share your fondest memories.
Kind words of encouragement for this year’s walkers or stories that encapsulate what the Walk is all about are both equally welcomed.
Saffery Trust Director, Lisa Vizia said: “We hope to see a record number of entries this year, and by you sharing your top tips, photographs or stories about the Walk, you can help encourage participants, so we achieve our goal.”
Lisa continued: “Your experiences of the Walk could spark an interest for someone looking to take part or could provide motivation for those looking to begin their training.”
Walk Chairman, Simon Milsted, said: “So many people contribute to the success of the Walk every year. Having been involved for many years now myself, I have
experienced the real impact the Walk has on each individual.
“Our walkers work hard to encourage and motivate one another, completing what is a physical and mental challenge with a smile on their faces.
“By sharing your experiences, you are contributing to the continued success of the Walk, helping to raise money for worthwhile causes across the Bailiwick.”
