Saffery Champness has promoted Claire Bufton to senior audit manager.
Born and educated in Guernsey, Ms Bufton joined Saffery Champness in 2011 after obtaining her ACA qualification in 2010 whilst working for a local “Big Four” accountancy firm.
At Saffery Champness Ms Bufton manages an audit client portfolio covering a diverse range of sectors including private equity funds, investment property funds, fund managers, listed funds and registered fiduciaries.
She is also responsible for the audit and assurance engagement of local trading and utility companies and Guernsey registered charities and associations.
In addition Ms Bufton is part of the team that provides voluntary liquidation services to Guernsey, Alderney, British Virgin Island and Cayman domiciled companies and heads up the team’s technical department.
Ms Bufton is a Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
