Sanctuary Trust has announced the promotion of Sarah Tumelty to the position of Chief Executive Officer.
Previously serving as General Manager, Sarah (pictured) now steps into a more strategic leadership role, working alongside the Board of Trustees to further support the Board of Trustees in tackling homelessness within our community.
Over the past three years, Sarah has built a strong and dedicated team, ensuring continuous support for 30 men in Sanctuary Trust’s residential facilities, alongside another 30+ men through the charity’s outreach programme. Her commitment and leadership have been instrumental in expanding the charity’s impact, despite growing economic challenges and the ongoing difficulty of securing suitable, affordable accommodation.
The need for charities such as Sanctuary Trust remains critical, but with continued support from our community, private donors, businesses, and the government, they charity remains optimistic about providing essential assistance to individuals in crisis.
Tim Ringsdore, Chair of Sanctuary Trust, commented: “It is with great pleasure that we announce Sarah’s promotion to the position of CEO. Sarah has proven her ability to lead from the front and has tremendous respect from the team, our residents, and the wider charity community. I am confident that Sarah will help to develop our services further so we can ensure we continue to provide the best support possible to those who need it. We are all very proud of Sarah, the progress she has made, and the leadership she provides.”
