Christmas is a busy time for The Salvation Army and this year plans are already in place for the annual Christmas Day celebration.
The celebration is always a lively enjoyable event and The Salvation Army are now inviting people to apply to join in.
Major Andrew Diaper-Clausen said: “The Salvation Army in Guernsey is again celebrating Christmas Day by organising its annual lunch at La Picquerel (L’islet) The activities are free to anyone who will be on their own on this Christmas day.”
The charity has volunteer chefs who create a traditional turkey lunch with all the trimmings and hosts to make each person have the best festive experience.
The plan for the day will be as follows:
- Christmas Morning Carol Service 10:30am
- Coffee/Tea 11:30am
- Lunch will be served after 12 noon
- After lunch entertainments
- The Queen’s speech 3pm
- Gifts and goodies before it’s time to go home
Major Andrew continued: “Christmas day is a highlight of my year, it’s a time to share good will. Its amazing to see people becoming family for the day.”
