Saltgate launches trio of work-life balance benefits

Fund Administrator Saltgate has introduced a new benefits package that focuses on improving work – life balance and giving employees increased flexibility.

Known as Engage 222, colleagues will receive or have access to:

  • Increased remote working allowance
  • ‘Flexigate’ – a permanent flexible working structure
  • ‘Work from elsewhere’ – two weeks a year working somewhere outside of assigned jurisdiction

All colleagues across Saltgate’s Jersey, Luxembourg, and London offices will be eligible, personal circumstances allowing.

The introduction of Engage 222 takes on board employee feedback from both a firm-wide engagement survey and the Saltgate Summit – an event which saw colleagues from all jurisdictions come together in September 2022.

At the Summit, colleagues were divided into groups and asked to come up with ideas that strengthened Saltgate’s offering and People proposition. The senior leadership team committed to putting the ideas to a company vote and incorporating the winner into a benefits offering.

Ali French, Saltgate’s Chief People Officer, said: “Engage 222 gives us more flexibility as an employer across our People proposition to enable us to adapt the way we work. This is a real partnership between us and our teams, and it has been met with enormous positivity.

“Work life balance is a priority to both our team and us. It was a key theme in the feedback from our engagement survey and the ideas shared during the Summit, so we created a new benefits package that truly strives to benefit each individual.

“We’re thrilled to see Engage 222 become such a successful initiative and its adoption represents a commitment from the leadership team to prioritise work life balance for each individual at Saltgate. This is an exciting development in Saltgate’s journey and I, along with the rest of the C-suite, am excited to experience the continued benefit to our teams.”

Simon Riley, Saltgate’s CEO, said: “As working models and patterns develop with technology and changing attitudes, we are focused on continued innovation in this space. Our teams work hard and have demonstrated diligence and accountability through both a fully remote period during Covid, and subsequently since we adopted a hybrid model.
