Fund Administrator Saltgate has welcomed a new Non-Executive Director to its Board.
Julia Chapman (pictured) has joined the Saltgate Limited Board, supporting and adding value to their governance framework. Based in Jersey, she is a solicitor qualified in England and Wales and in Jersey, with over 30 years’ experience in the investment fund and capital markets sector.
Having trained with Simmons & Simmons in London, she moved to Jersey to work for Mourant du Feu & Jeune (now Mourant), becoming partner in 1999. Julia was then appointed General Counsel to the firm’s fund administration division with responsibility for legal, risk, and compliance oversight of third-party administration services to alternative investment funds.
Following the acquisition of MIFA by State Street in April 2010, Julia was appointed European Senior Counsel at State Street, heading up a European-based team responsible for internal legal affairs and governance in State Street’s alternative investment services division. In July 2012, Julia left State Street to focus on the independent provision of directorship and governance services.
