Saffery Trust has announced the appointment of Sharon Coburn as Associate Director of its People & Culture team.
The appointment comes following the retirement announcement of Associate Director Jane Wade, after more than 40 years of service with the private client firm.
A fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Management Institute, Sharon (pictured) brings three decades of experience to Saffery. Sharon will support the Board of Saffery Trust in supporting its people and upholding the firm’s core values.
Sharon said she was delighted to join the Tier I independent trust company. She explained: “I have consistently heard positive things about Saffery Trust, including the firm’s inclusive culture. The longevity of my predecessor’s career is a fantastic testament to the stability of the firm and that it creates an environment where our people can build long-lasting careers.
“I look forward to supporting the team in realising their professional career goals and contributing to the delivery of Saffery Trust’s ongoing first-class client service.”
Saffery Managing Director, Nick Batiste, welcomed Sharon’s appointment: “We have been incredibly fortunate to have Jane head up the People & Culture team for so long and she will be greatly missed following years of exceptional service. Sharon will be working closely with Jane over the coming weeks to ensure a seamless transition.
“We are committed to supporting opportunity and enabling success for all our people and Sharon’s extensive experience will be invaluable in the continued delivery of our Employee Value Proposition, prioritising the health and wellbeing, and professional development of all our team members.”
