Saffery Trust has announced the promotion of six staff in its Guernsey office, which were effective from 1 July 2024.
The promotions include Guernsey’s Rory Jones appointed as Manager in the Digital Asset and Cryptocurrency team, which has more than doubled in size since its formation.
Rory joined Saffery Trust in a trainee position in 2009, progressing his career within the firm and playing a fundamental role in the development of its digital asset services over the last five years.
“Having been part of the Digital Asset and Cryptocurrency team since its inception, I’ve been in a unique position to play a role in driving innovation by applying traditional wealth structuring expertise to this rapidly evolving client service sector,” said Rory.
“Saffery Trust is a leading firm bridging the gap between decentralised and traditional finance and I’m proud to have been promoted to Manager of our growing team.”
Chantelle Le Cheminant and Lily Simmons were promoted to Assistant Managers, both with extensive expertise in establishing and administering wealth structures for ultra-high-net-worth clients.
Other promotions in Guernsey saw Caitlin Le Gallez promoted to Senior People & Culture Officer, Luke Jones to Officer and Everett Mariess to Compliance Administrator.
Saffery Trust Managing Director, Nick Batiste, said the promotions reflected to the high level of expertise within the firm: “At Saffery Trust we recognise that our team members are our most valuable assets and continue to invest in our people. Each of these promotions reflects years of contributions to the delivery of client service excellence and are well deserved.
“Rory, Chantelle, Lily, Caitlin, Luke, and Everett all reflect our core values and are highly valued within their teams. I would like to congratulate each of them on their success and look forward to seeing their continued career progression with Saffery Trust.”
