Over the last year, Resolution IT has supported St John Guernsey LBG with free IT support, along with a fully managed cloud migration project.
As a charity, St John has long faced the challenge of balancing operational efficiency with tight financial constraints. Their previous on-premises IT solution was creating significant logistical hurdles, particularly for staff and volunteers who needed reliable access to files and systems.
“Everything was held in one location, which made access really challenging,” said Heather Langlois, CEO of St John Guernsey. “The cloud migration has been a game changer – it’s far more flexible, secure, and efficient. It’s transformed how we work and has made our service significantly more effective.”
To ensure the migration was financially manageable, Resolution IT offered a flexible payment plan spread over 12 months, a solution that allowed St John to invest in long-term IT improvements without compromising their immediate financial health.
“In this economic climate, with rising costs and fundraising pressures, it’s incredibly difficult to prioritise IT investment,” Heather added. “This support has given us grace during a period of significant change. It’s shown us that with the right infrastructure, IT doesn’t have to cost a fortune.”
Throughout the migration project and ongoing free IT support, Heather praised the Resolution IT team for their responsive, hands-on approach.
“The team were amazing. Everyone we worked with was supportive and took the time to ensure we really understood every step of the process,” said Heather. “If an issue cropped up, someone was there straight away to resolve it. The whole service has been fantastic.”
The partnership has allowed the charity to move from reactive IT firefighting to a more stable and scalable operation. “It’s saved us so much time. Without Resolution IT, we simply wouldn’t be where we are today.”
Resolution IT’s Technical & Operations Director, Matt Le Patourel, said: “We’re incredibly proud to have supported St John Guernsey LBG. Their vital work makes a real difference in the community, and it’s a privilege to play a role in helping them operate more efficiently and securely. This partnership embodies what we stand for – proactive support, transparency, and making IT accessible and effective for all organisations, no matter their size or structure.”
