The highly anticipated Saffery Rotary Walk will return on Saturday 8 June 2024, promising a day of community, camaraderie and charitable giving.
As a staple event in the community calendar, the Walk is now encouraging relay teams of 4-7 people to sign up for a fixed fee of £140.
Whether you’re an avid walker or a leisurely stroller, this inclusive Walk welcomes people of all ages and abilities to take part to raise money for worthwhile charitable causes while enjoying the island’s picturesque landscapes.
Fostering teamwork, this memorable experience encourages group participation and allows for a sense of shared achievement and accomplishment.
Saffery Trust Director, Lisa Vizia said: “We are really pleased to announce that relay team registrations for this year’s Walk are now open. This is a fantastic opportunity for friends, families and colleagues to come together, in support of one another, to make a meaningful difference in our community.”
Lisa continued: “The relay team option allows you to tackle the challenge with others by your side. This is also a chance to give back to 21 charitable causes island wide.”
Walk Chairman, Simon Milsted, said: “We encourage islanders to join us in achieving a common goal of raising money for a variety of worthwhile local causes, while accomplishing a physical and mental challenge.
“Every step taken on the day of the Walk will contribute to vital fundraising. If you are a corporate looking to join an exciting event that will benefit the wider community, we hope you will take the leap and sign up as a relay team.”
